Edgesight Active Application Monitoring: Could not find application.

Citrix Edgesight AAM is configured to run as a specific user and the application is definitely published to the end user. But when recording the macro for the first time you get an error message
Script ‘script name’. User 1: Connect Failed. XML Service. Could not find application.
If opening an old AAM file and clickign run the session loads and just quits with no message.
The connections from the server are configured as such where
the username section contains the domainnameuser
Resolution:
simply remove the domainname from the username section of the  scripts ‘users’ as edgesight will stupidly pass domainnamedomainnameusername to the server
