Resolution: A number of reasons why this could fail according to CTX107240.The fix in my scenario was needing to run “C:WINDOWSMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv2.0.50727aspnet_regiis.exe -i” (for version 2) to re register the ASP.net components which are sometimes removed or no longer accessible / registered on a cloned or virtual system
